We are looking for applications for our Artist-in-Residence Program
The artist-in-residence program gives artists the opportunity to have a studio to work in as well as have a highly visible venue including street front windows that are lit 24 hours a day) to exhibit and promote their work.
• 24 hour access to studio space for a four month period (Sept-Dec, Jan-Apr, Apr-May)
(studio space includes large work bench/table, good lighting, sink, kitchen facilities, washroom, heat, WIFI, access to a printing press)
• opportunity to exhibit and promote your work on an on-going basis 24-hours a day in the windows of the space
• to participate in a group exhibition with the other two residency artists at the end of four months
• promotion of your work and exhibitions via social media (facebook, instagram and twitter) as well as through the Vancouver Island School of Art’s newsletter
Cost for residency: $325/month
Send an email indicating your interest in the space, what kind of project(s) you plan to work on while in the space and a link to your website or at least three images of
current work. Also indicate what time frame: Jan-Apr, May-Aug or Sep-Dec.
